Data analytics hiring levels in the pharma industry fell to a year-low in August
The proportion of pharmaceutical companies hiring for cloud related positions rose to a year-high in August 2021, with 42.7% of the companies included in our analysis recruiting for at least one such position.
The latest figure was lower than the 69.8% of companies who were hiring for data analytics-related jobs a year ago.

The proportion of pharmaceutical companies hiring for data analytics related positions dropped in August 2022 compared with the equivalent month last year, with 62.9% of the companies included in our analysis recruiting for at least one such position.
This latest figure was lower than the 69.8% of companies who were hiring for data analytics-related jobs a year ago and a decrease compared to the figure of 69.3% in July 2022.
When it came to the rate of all job openings that were linked to data analytics, related job postings rose in August 2022 from July 2022, with 13.7% of newly posted job advertisements being linked to the topic.
This latest figure was an increase compared to the 10.8% of newly advertised jobs that were linked to data analytics in the equivalent month a year ago.
